Patch Management is one of the most important tasks of system administrators and IT managers. Providing and managing software updates in the IT environment must be controlled consequently. The DeskCenter® Management Suite provides comprehensive management of all patches across all systems. Dangerous security flaws are fixed quickly and the IT environment remains stable and effective.
Download and Installation when necessary
By using the Workflow Service, updates are downloaded and installed on a central deployer according to a defined schedule or when required. The SDI Agent scans every system in the network and detects which patches are required. The DeskCenter® Management Suite ensures optimal and need-based deployment of updates, because only patches that are needed are downloaded and installed. Furthermore, the DeskCenter® Management Suite supports updates for several languages of the OS and applications.
Rule System and Patch Groups
Systems can be classified into patch groups with different installation rights for updates – updates can be installed or uninstalled anytime. In detailed overviews, the reports display which updates have to be installed on which system.
